Sad news this morning...Sherrill isn't going to renew her wizards subscription. It has been taking up too much time and she needs to get away from it, so Tavia and Moira will be gone from the game, probably permanently. I'll probably be spending less time in game too for the moment as I generally prefer running long term with someone, and Sherrill has been that someone for a while now. On a more positive note, Sherrill, her husband Ed and son Jason are real world friends as well, so we will still be in touch with them going forward. We'll be going to their place for dinner this Sunday, and I expect that we'll continue swapping visits like that over the longer run. I'm going to try to let folks know that she's leaving the game over the next couple fo days. I'll probably be giving the game a bit of a rest for a few days myself (we've been running every night for a while now, after having comitted to going to every other night a while back). I still have some good friends in the game and don't expect to drop out completely, but I will probably dial back my hours substantially and don't expect to start running with anyone on a regular basis any time soon ![]()
We did get a bit further into WinterTusk last night though :} Happy and sad that. I'll probably try to finish off WinterTusk with some or all of my wizards eventually. Likely at a much slower pace and with more breaks along the way. The list of updates and new spells in this game patch is intriguing, and I really want to explore them before I'm done. I'll post progress as I make it. I also finally got Brand enough money to allow him to buy a top of the line house to replace the low end Krok house he's been using to date. More room for planting (less need now, but still) and something interesting to mess around with.
So far I've been unimpressed with the WinterTusk drops. I've sold everything that came my way as none of it looks interesting compared to the crafted gear that my legends are runnning currently. Perhaps something towards the end will look more interesting. Only really nice bit is that the WinterTusk gear is selling for pretty good amounts of cash so far. I expect this to change though, not sure whether that's King Isle retuning the prices or the Bazaar prices automatically adjusting as the various categories fill up.
Expect that I'll be writing more main blog postings and fewer wizards blog postings going forward. Between home schooling stuff, other projects that have languished because I've been spending more time myself playing wizards than I really should and my impulse to write getting channeled into the blog and away from wizards chatter I expect things to get more lively here...
